"Is that really made of paper?" and "Is it for cats or four cats?"
The answer to the first question is a resounding yes and the second is definitely four.
People often ask why I’m called Four Cats Paper Crafting. The name actually travels back to Friday Harbor, Washington, where my husband and I owned a bed-and-breakfast. We had four cats at the time, and when we formed our LLC, "Four Cats" was the natural choice. for it's name.
After we sold the B&B and moved back to Phoenix to welcome our first grandbaby (Hi Micah), the name sat unused for a while. When I started this business, it felt right to dust it off—this time inspired by a brand-new group of four cats who had joined our family. I do sometimes have to gently remind people that it’s Four Cats, not for cats... though my studio assistants might disagree!
Everything you see here is hand-engineered and hand-assembled by me. I believe art should be a reflection of the person giving it and the person receiving it. That’s why I’m committed to inclusive design. All of my pieces can be customized with different skin tones and hair color. For a gift to be a true vessel for your feelings, it needs to look and feel like home.
My business didn't start in a corporate office; it started on a front porch. The owner of the local flower shop in the Catlin Court Historic District (Glendale, AZ) gave me my first "yes," encouraging me to set up a Christmas pop-up. I am forever grateful to her for the opportunity.
I have a special place in my heart for our "Snow Birds." I know space is a luxury when you're traveling. That’s why I’ve curated pieces with Big Impact that fit in Small Spaces.
The Pro-Packing Tip: To get your structures home safely, place them in a plastic container (the kind you find at a "Dollar" store). To save room, tuck soft items like socks or undies around the item to cushion it. It keeps the art pristine and your suitcase efficient!
Four Cats Paper Crafting calls Peoria, Arizona home...
and it is where the magic happens. But my favorite 'office' is a booth at a local farmer's market. I believe the best way to choose a gift is to see the textures and layers for yourself. I’d love to meet you at my next event! Pop over to the Let’s Connect page to see my current lineup of fairs and markets across the Valley.
Wait, why do the cats call you the "Champion Shopper"?
"It’s a title I take very seriously and it's the reason your gift will look unlike anything else in the world. Want to see what goes on behind the scenes of 'The Hunt'?"
